Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships are internationally competitive, merit-based scholarships provided by the Australian Government to support high achieving students and scholars from around the world—including Ireland—undertake study, research, and professional development programmes in Australia and for Australians to undertake these programmes overseas. The Australian Embassy in Ireland does not process visa or citizenship applications. Staff at the Embassy in Ireland are unable to assist with visa, migration, or citizenship enquiries. If you have a visa or citizenship enquiry, please visit Department of Home Affairs website or call its Global Service Centre at +61 2 6196 0196 from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (GMT, local client time).
Overseas Student Health Cover
Irish residents in Australia on student visas must be insured with the Overseas Student Health Cover, an inexpensive Government scheme for foreign students.
Exchange Programs
A number of Irish and Australian universities have reciprocal exchange programs with one another, meaning students from each institution can spend either a semester or year at the host institution as a non-degree seeking student. Students will pay tuition to their home university while attending classes at the host institution. Contact your university to find out if it has an agreement with any Australian universities.
Australian Studies in Ireland
University College Dublin (UCD) has an Australian Studies Centre which is located within the School of History and Archives. They have regular research seminars which are open to the public and offer courses in Australian history.
