Ireland Australia Association

Founded in 1981, the Ireland Australia Association is a volunteer organisation run by a dedicated committee of Australian expatriates. Its primary objective is to create a supportive community for ex-pats in Ireland, fostering friendships and connections through a variety of Australian-themed events held throughout the year.

As a social hub for all Australians living in the Emerald Isle, the IAA organises events ranging from wine tastings to summer barbecues and cricket matches. While its calendar  varies each year, there is typically an annual gathering in both Galway and Sligo, along with regular events in Dublin.

The current President, Matt McKerrow, can be contacted at [email protected]. The Australian Ambassador to Ireland serves as the Patron of the IAA.
