Chargé d'Affaires Lachlan Crews
Lachlan Crews has served as Chargé d'Affaires at the Australian Embassy to Ireland since September 2024.
Lachlan has spent most his career working on trade and geo-economic issues in East Asia, with over two decades of experience as a trade negotiator, economic analyst, and senior diplomat. Most recently, he was the Australian Office in Taipei’s Acting Representative in 2023. He has previously served in economic roles in Beijing (twice) and Seoul.
Lachlan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Chinese from the University of Queensland and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from Australian National University. He is married with two children.
